Mission Statement
Sultan Prospects will help in the development of young student athletes by providing them opportunities to showcase their talents. Through hard work and dedication at home, in the classroom and on the court they will learn the true meaning of well earned rewards.

SULTANS & MOLTEN TOGETHER FOR 3 YEARS

Sultan Prospects started using and promoting Molten Basketballs at the “More than Conquerors for Susan Stewart” tournament and Celebrity game in December 2005. The relationship continued at the 2006, 2007 and 2008 Battle for Breast Cancer tournaments. The basketballs were received very well with great feedback. In fact they were an item that individual players were requesting to purchase because they were unable to find them in local shops. Starting in the spring of 2006 Sultan Prospects travelled throughout the United States using the basketballs for warm-up in every game, again drawing interest from players and coaches on the opposing teams.

In February of 2008 an agreement was entered with Molten to be the Official Basketball of the Sultan Prospects up and until the end of January 2011. Molten basketballs will be used at all Sultan Prospects Camps, Clinics, and tournaments and travel teams along with being the Official Basketball of the Battle for Breast Cancer. As part of the registration for our annual Battle for Breast cancer each team will receive 1 BGG6-W Giugiaro design basketball and the BGG7-W ball will be used at the Celebrity Game.

We’re excited about the possibilities and the fact that Molten made the 3 year commitment to work with us. The organization has always been at the forefront of new possibilities and ideas and this coincides with Molten. We take incredible pride in all we do on and off the court and Molten will add even more credibility to our program.

2008–2009 JUNIOR ROSTER SET

After an early exit at the 2008 Provincial Cup in Kitchener and a 10-8 summer record, changes were in order. This was the second year we officially held open tryouts in efforts to get back to being a top 5 team in the Province. The difficult part is letting go of good people and families to try to bring in stronger athletes, but with new players there is energy and an open mindset with success at the top of the list. We’re excited about our group this season; there’s a good mixture of returning players (7) and new (6), along with age 2-grade 10, 4-grade 11 and 7-grade 12.

Leadership will come from a core of grade 12 guards who have played at a high level and are expected to produce throughout the season. The addition of strong post players, all bringing a different type of game will create an exciting brand of basketball. We’re proud to announce our roster listed below:

#0 – Marie Hacking – 5’ 9” Guard – Hamilton – Grade 11
#4 – Hayley Neal – 5’ 10” Guard – Mississauga – Grade 12
#5 – Christine Hyde – 5’ 10” Guard – Mississauga – Grade 12
#6 – Kimberly Cupid – 5’ 3” Guard – Guelph – Grade 12
#10 – Emily Quinn – 5’ 5” Guard – Oakville – Grade 12
#12 – Sophie Beutel – 6’ 0” Forward – Toronto – Grade 11
#15 – Brittney Rowland – 5’ 8” Guard – Grand Valley – Grade 12
#21 – Aprille Deus – 5’ 4” Guard – Brampton – Grade 10
