MISSION STATEMENT
Sultan Prospects will help in the development of young student athletes by providing them opportunities to showcase their talents. Through hard work and dedication at home, in the classroom and on the court they will learn the true meaning of well earned rewards.

HISTORY
Sultan Prospects was established in the year 2000. The Organization was developed as an extension of Sultan Apparel Inc. (Sultanwear), a company based out of Toronto, Ontario Canada. Sultanwear manufacturers quality basketball uniforms and has an urban line that caters to fans of baseball, football and basketball.
Sultan Prospects has been running a girls 17 years and under team since 2000. The team travels to the United States as well as compete in Canada. In the summer of 2002 a girls 15 years and under team was introduced. The Club believes in developing the individual student athlete and thus making the Organization stronger. We make a strong commitment to our athletes and in turn they commit fully to us. Through strong competition we believe that our kids get the best exposure to recruiters and thus using basketball as a vehicle to get the best possible education.

GOALS AND PURPOSE
In the past, the best basketball teams were based in the United States. This would force us to go south and compete to develop our athletes. We still feel this has to be done, but we plan to bring the competition to Canada as well. Sultan Prospects has joined Youth Basketball of America and will compete against teams in their organization in both countries. Sultan Prospects plans to run several events annually. In early February we will be hosting 2 basketball tournaments, one for midget aged girls and the other for CFL players. The girl's tournament will host 8-12 teams from various cities in the province. The CFL basketball tournament will host players from teams based in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Hamilton and will be used as a fund raiser. A camp for returning senior girls will be held in late April. The coaches working the camp will be from Division 1 and 2, US high school and a former national women's team player. The coaches will put the players through university workouts and evaluate their game. In mid May we will host a tournament in Niagara Falls, Ontario for Girls Basketball of America, an organization based out of Ohio. This tournament will be open to Canadian and American teams. In the first and second weeks of June, Sultan Prospects will host a girls and boys tournament for Youth Basketball of America. Each tournament will host 32 teams from the United States.
As a non-profit Organization, Sultan Prospects has to find ways to raise money to help our kids achieve their goals. We run several fund raisers throughout the year to help with operational costs. With the help of Gatorade Canada, we sell cases of 12 bottles for profit; we host a game between the Courtside Boatmen (Toronto Argonauts) and the Raptor Ambassadors. This game will be played at different locations throughout the GTA annually. We look to sell 1000 tickets for this event. Along with entertainment, we invite special guests and hold several raffles throughout the evening. This is a great way to showcase our coaches, players, parents and friends. Late May brings warm weather and we'll run an early bird golf tournament. Participants will have the opportunity to golf with local celebrities.
Sultan Prospects has signed a contract with ColorShadow Communications Inc., a Web Site Development company that is committed to help our student athletes achieve their dreams.
We at Sultan Prospects realize that the future holds a lot of promise for young student athletes and through hard work and dedication the Organization will strive. We have made a commitment to start a boys 15 years and under teams in the summer of 2003 followed by a boys 17 years and under in the summer of 2004. We are currently building a network of people who will help make this a reality. Our contacts include basketball coaches at every level to Organizations throughout the world. We have the commitment of teachers to assist with additional education and academic preparation along with volunteers that have a passion to help kids.
Ultimately, we will excel because everything we do is for the kids and their development on and off the court. All we ask our student athletes is that they work hard at everything they do, to take from basketball and when they're done taking, to give back in any way they can.
