#0 – Marie Hacking – Hamilton, Ontario
Position: Guard
Born: August 4, 1992
Height: 5’ 81/2”
Weight: 135lbs.
High School: St. Mary’s Catholic Secondary
Neves on Marie
Marie gives us experience and leadership on the floor. She plays on one
of the top high school programs in the Province and will be counted on to lead this
young team. She has very good skills in all aspects of the game and just needs to
refine them. Marie is expected to log heavy minutes as a perimeter threat and leader.

|
#5 – Nikki Garcia – Mississauga, Ontario
Position: Guard
Born: September 29, 1993
Height: 5’ 4”
Weight: 130lbs.
High School: St. Valentine Elementary School
Neves on Nikki
Nikki has a great understanding of the game and our systems. She has a
shooting range out to 3-point land and does the little things well. Nikki needs
to contribute from the perimeter to help open up the inside for our posts. She runs
and finishes well in transition.

|
|
#9 – Danielle Piano – Ancaster, Ontario
Position: Guard
Born: January 20, 1992
Height: 5’ 61/2”
Weight: 122lbs.
High School: Ancaster High School
Neves on Danielle
Danielle is a strong athlete with good basketball IQ as well as being a
lefty with good skills. Danielle will be counted on to get defensive stops and finish
on transition, she will play a large role in an up tempo game, but has the ability
and knowledge to contribute in a half court set as well.
|
|
|
#11 – Andjela Borovac – Stoney Creek, Ontario
Position: Guard/Forward
Born: October 30, 1992
Height: 6’ 2”
Weight: 166lbs.
High School: Orchard Park Secondary School
Neves on Andjela
Andjela is the tallest player in the organization this year, but has very
good guard skills. She’ll create match up problems for opponents because of her
perimeter abilities, but needs to toughen up inside. Andjela has all of the potential
to be a great player at all 5 positions on the floor and with her continued strong
work ethic will do so when she graduates in 4 years.
|
|
|
#20 – Desiree Charles – Mississauga, Ontario
Position: Forward
Born: November 20, 1993
Height: 6’ 0”
Weight: 144lbs.
High School: Hazel McCallion Elementary School
Neves on Desiree
Desiree has the size, but needs to develop the skills to be consistently
effective in the post. She’s the youngest player in the organization, but works
hard and is improving every day. She’s long and athletic and should develop into
an effective inside presence. Desiree rebounds wells on both ends and will establish
herself as she develops her strength.
|
|
|
#24 – Naana Ankoma-Mensa – Brampton, Ontario
Position: Guard/Forward
Born: October 19, 1992
Height: 5’ 11”
Weight: 145lbs.
High School: St. Marguerite D’Youville Catholic Secondary
Neves on Naana
Naana has all of the tools to be a strong player, but she needs to be more
consistent on both ends. She is very athletic and finishes well on the offensive
end along with being a good rebounder defensively. Naana needs to develop a consistent
outside shot to compliment her ability to go to the hole.
|
|
|
#25 – Jasmine Williams – Mississauga, Ontario
Position: Guard
Born: September 18, 1993
Height: 5’ 3”
Weight: 110lbs.
High School: Hazel McCallion Elementary School
Neves on Jasmine
Jasmine is a project that has already made good strides in individual development.
She needs to get stronger and quicker and as she develops her game will improve.
She’s still growing and learning to play at a high level, but brings a positive
attitude and a desire to learn every day.
|
|
|
#33 – Cairah Gabriel-Robinson– Mississauga, Ontario
Position: Guard/Forward
Born: April 3, 1993
Height: 5’ 9”
Weight: 131lbs.
High School: St. Albert of Jerusalem Elementary School
Neves on Cairah
I’ve coached players who played with her dad and she brings a strong basketball
IQ that I can relate to. Cairah works very hard to improve every day although she
already has the finer skills required. She will be asked to contribute on the perimeter
as well as in the post mainly because she can. Cairah is an athlete with desire
and only she can hold herself back.
|
|
|
#34 – Desiree Crawford– Brampton, Ontario
Position: Forward
Born: June 19, 1992
Height: 6’ 0”
Weight: 145lbs.
High School: St. Marguerite D’Youville Catholic Secondary
Neves on Desiree
Desiree has the ability to be one of the best post players to come out of this organization.
She’s long, lean and athletic, but needs to learn the game and its finer points.
As she develops the mental side, her physical skills will start to progress. Desiree
is expected to dominate the boards on both ends until she can develop her post skills.
|
|
|
#35 – Kaneisha Edwards– Mississauga, Ontario
Position: Guard/Forward
Born: August 11, 1993
Height: 5’ 101/2”
Weight: 140lbs.
High School: Hillside Senior Public School
Neves on Kaneisha
Kaneisha has the ability to be a big part of this team; she needs to develop
consistency on both ends. Her greatest attribute is her enjoyment of the game. She
can play and will be expected to contribute inside or out. Learning and understanding
the game and what is expected of her will progress her development immensely as
the season goes on.
|
|
|
#45 – Tatyani Malabanan– Mississauga, Ontario
Position: Guard
Born: January 4, 1993
Height: 5’ 2”
Weight: 115lbs.
High School: St. Vincent DePaul Elementary School
Neves on Tatyani
I coached Tati’s mom, can’t remember how good she was, but know that Tati
is a very special player with great athletic ability. She goes all out all of the
time and needs to understand when to do so and when to rest. Tati is a highly skilled
player who just needs refinement. She’s already shown great leadership skills because
of her work ethic and is expected to be a big part of this team’s success in 2007.
|
|
|
#54 – Aprille Deus– Brampton, Ontario
Position: Guard
Born: April 21, 1993
Height: 5’ 3”
Weight: 125lbs.
High School: Cardinal Newman Senior Public School
Neves on Aprille
Aprille has the skills and swagger already and in 5 years could be an incredible
athlete. She has the guard skills of a high school player, but needs to develop
a consistent shot. The sky’s the limit for Aprille and I plan to challenge her every
day because I believe she can be one of the best players to come out of this organization.
|
|
|
#55 – Ina Vuckovic– Mississauga, Ontario
Position: Guard
Born: May 2, 1992
Height: 5’ 7”
Weight: 118lbs.
High School: Rick Hansen Secondary School
Neves on Ina
Ina gives us good size and experience at the guard spot and should develop as a
leader on a young team. She’s worked hard on releasing her shot higher up and finishing
in transition. Ina makes good decisions at crucial times and takes good care of
the ball.
